Here at Pinewood Steading, we have had a terrific Winter this season for the Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis. With our dark skies and super location with uninterrupted views stretching for miles and miles, looking North, you can even stand in the garden and see the Aurora. We’ve been thrilled to join so many guests outside and stood in awe and watch them dance across the night sky.
The Aurora can’t be guaranteed of course. But Winter months with their long dark nights is what you need. Nights when the moon isn’t so full. Cloudless skies. And Aurora activity, and you’re onto a winner. But if you’re not lucky enough to see them, you can still take in the amazing starry skies and gaze at the Milky Way.
