So many of our guests talk about the “huge skies” we have here, or the “dark skies”. Visit Scotland have now posted their choice for the 6 most beautiful spots to stargaze around Inverness (and the Cairngorms). We have 4 right by us here at Pinewood Steading.
We’re lucky to have Culloden right on our doorstep, Loch Ness, Inverness, and of course the most wonderful local spot, Abriachan – a designated site for Dark Sky Discovery (you can read about this on one of my previous blog posts.
Even from the garden of Pinewood Steading, it’s a marvellous place to sit, stand and watch the stars. Get a super view of the Milky Way too. And if you are lucky, even a chance to see the Northern Lights.

Dark Skies
Winter is of course the best time for star gazing, hoping for the Northern Lights even, with our short days and long nights! We still have availability during November and December and into early 2021, you can check on www.pinewoodsteading.co.uk
