On the tenth day of Christmas, Pinewood Steading gave to me – lochs, water and Loch Ness!
Being so close to Loch Ness (5 miles), we had to include boat trips and getting onto the water. There are a few companies who can take you out on the water: the likes of @lochnesscruises who can even take you to Urquhart Castle – see our 6th Day of Christmas post.
They even have a sonar so you can see if Nessie is swimming underneath!

Using the sonar to spot Nessie on Loch Ness
Or from Inverness, go out with @dolphinspirit onto the Moray Firth either in a rib or on the cruiser and try to spot the dolphins.

One of our favourites is canoeing with @liquidfootprints, or go kayaking with them, on nearby lochs, up the Great Glen or even in the wild waters over on the west coast. You can even canoe (with your dog) and enjoy an afternoon tea on the banks of Loch Achilty!
